What Makes Goals Overwhelming?
During the last few weeks of 2016 the blog posts have been focused on goals. I do not know about you, but in my goals exploration for 2017 I found myself becoming a bit overwhelmed.
Why?
Well you see, each year my goals become more and more challenging. Those challenges take me out of my comfort zone.
Some of the goals require that I be more assertive. That makes me uncomfortable.
There are also goals where I have no idea how to accomplish them.
And there are some goals that require me to take risks. Risk-taking was not and still is not a part of our family conversations.
Then there are goals that require that I foster relationships that I do not currently have. That requires trust. You guessed it. Those make me uncomfortable too.
Do you find yourself in the same position as you consider your own goals?
What's the Cure for Goal Overwhelm?
What makes this topic so important is that if you do not get a handle on your overwhelm, you will find yourself not accomplishing much.
We can't have that. Sooo….
After a lot of hyperventilating, procrastinating, and munching on food I should not be touching, I am resorting to what helps me off the ledge – prayer and motivational quotes.
I will leave you to your own prayers and meditation (I have yet to master this). What I will share in this post, however, are some quotes that I plan to use to allow me to take the first step towards achieving my goals for 2017.
Let the following quotes be the boost that you need too.
