A Year to Remember to be Grateful
I was sitting in a meeting room with a small group of pretty amazing women who are a part of my peer group at work when one of the women smiled and spoke in awe as she told me of all that I had accomplished during the year. I think I blushed. I know I smiled and told her, “Thank you.”
As I think about Thanksgiving, I am reminded of that conversation. She was right. Wow, what a ride this year has been!! I am truly grateful for my own transformation, accomplishments, opportunities and the many possibilities that await me.
How has your year gone thus far? I hope you are knocking down barriers, stepping up and out even when you are afraid, that you are easing your self-doubt by taking action even if you feel uncomfortable, and that you are changing your mind and body by living a healthy lifestyle.
You Are Reason to be Grateful
One of my accomplishments during this year has been this blog, canwilldone.com. It has been 305 days since the blog went live. WooHoo!!
I am excited by this blog, but what keeps me going is you. Every email you send me, my personal trainer sharing with me that I am helping to make a difference in the lives of some of her clients, the texts you send, and the phone calls you make asking me for assistance are all testaments that your life is being positively impacted. I am overwhelmed with joy that you are making you a priority.
So to those of you who have shared that I make you laugh, that you are getting your mojo back, that you have started taking the stairs rather than using an elevator or escalator, you who have said that these blog posts are an inspiration to you, I say THANK YOU.
I am so grateful that you give me the opportunity to be a part of your life. I am grateful that you allow me to live my purpose in life, something that I have prayed for over the years. Because of you I am a change agent, changing minds and changing attitudes in order to change lives. Again, thank you.

Take Nothing for Granted
I end the post with this, another thank you. I am more than appreciative of my shining star, Kelly. Let me tell you something, when you have a partner who supports you do not take that for granted.
During my weight loss journey, Kelly came along with me. She did not have to, but she wanted to. She supports my blogging, my diving into being a speaker (see pamelaburke.com) – and I am going to pop something on you here – she is supporting me while I write a book. Ok, that made me really nervous sharing that. Now I have to finish it. (smile) Kelly also proofreads my blog posts for me. Woo, the things I miss! Kelly, Thank You. I am grateful for all your support and hope I have never taken that for granted.
