If you tend to put your family and work before yourself, know that changing for you will make you better for everyone and everything else. Make a choice to take care of what is most important – you. That was that choice I made. Trust me, there is power in deciding to change for you and no one else.

Start Losing Weight By Knowing your motivators

I love making a positive difference in the lives of others. To a fault, I tended to take better care of others than I did myself. When that hit me, I knew what I needed to do. Helping others makes me accountable to others, much like this blog. To make this weight loss thing work, I discovered the only way to live my cold hard truth and to get past my obstacles and excuses, I needed to be held accountable. I was on my way!!

Identify your needs

My momentum started after identifying that I needed to be held accountable. Me, the woman who loved helping others, needed help. As a take care of others person, and control freak, it was hard for me to ask for help, but I needed it. The wheels were turning.

Ask for Help to Start Your Physical Change

Life is interesting. When you put vibes out into the universe life moves accordingly. Soon after I admitted I needed help, completely by happenstance, I ran into a former co-worker. He had become what he called a fitness consultant. Was that the same as a personal trainer?

By the end of our conversion I knew, as a fitness consultant, his advisement was based on individual needs, not a one size fits all approach. Intrigued, I walked away thinking to myself, “I need a fitness consultant.”

I liked the guy, but he was a bit too green for me to consider him. Instead, I did a Google search for “finding a personal consultant in new jersey.”

On Saturday, July 12th two thousand fourteen, I sat at my laptop and constructed an email asking for help.

Physically start your journey to losing weight

On the following Wednesday, at 5:15 am, I stood in front of my laptop to have my first Skype workout session with my then new personal trainer, Gail of Simply Fitness.
